About the founder

Deepa Mischler is a mother, business consultant, Wharton MBA graduate, and jewelry designer. In 2004, juxtaposition of motherhood and civil unrest in Nepal (which has caused decline in tourism and trade for the Nepalese) prompted the management consultant to join the family trade of creating jewelry utilizing the ancient skills of Nepali master artisans.

Mischler’s passion for beautiful jewelry was inherited. Growing up in the shadow of the Himalayas at a time of peace and stability, she is the third generation jeweler carrying forward her family’s legacy. “It feels just right to utilize the talent and art honed over thousands of years to create jewelry that fits today’s woman,” says Mischler. Perhaps what is even more fitting is adorning Western fashion with a sensibility of an ancient Eastern culture while infusing that culture with a breath of fresh inspiration.
